Elvis Presley Tribute Concert

This year’s World Music Day will be celebrated in a tribute concert to Elvis Presley. Loved and famous songs from the King’s vast repertory will be performed by the tenor Nicolas Maraziotis accompanied by Athens State Orchestra‘s Brass & Percussion Ensemble “Metallon” under the baton of Mo Nikos Haliassas.
Elvis Presley performed and also developed all kinds of music that appeared in America. From Rockabilly, Hillbilly, Rock’n’Roll, Rhythm’n’Blues, Country, Gospel, Spitituals, Soul, Pop, Blues, Rock, Ballads to Bossa Nova.
A perfectionist artist who, was not simply a singer; on the contrary he highlighted in such a particular way several songs which were forgotten or did not get the recognition they deserved.
The songs presented will be transcribed for a Brass ensemble and percussion.
